It's Official! Palin announces Bristol's Pregnancy!!
Per CBS:
Nooooooo...that's not why...those stories made "liberal blogs" sound crazy. It's because a number of us were trying to straighten out those blogs and tell them what the abundance of credible rumors ACTUALLY said...that Bristol was pregnant now.
And it probably didn't help that the intrepid Kim...member of Team Blue Oasis, found Meghan McCain's blog...who had a number of realllllly inconveniently angled pictures of Bristol backstage in Dayton, Ohio. (It has since been taken down but not before I got them on my blog.)
But THIS is the part that made me laugh out loud:
I think Palin has just had "strike one!"
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has announced that her 17-year-old daughter is five months pregnan.Ohhh...gee...color me surprised...
The announcement is “intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child,” says the Reuters news service, which carried the first report.

In a statement, the Palin family says that Bristol Palin is “about five months pregnant” and that she intends to marry the father. “We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us," the Palins said in the statement. "Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support.”I'm glad this is out now and that everyone can now leave Bristol alone. Seriously, I posted on it to dispell the rumor about Trig, but had no intention of talking about it again and I truly hope that her impending marriage will only be happy.

According to the Reuters report, John McCain’s campaign was aware of the pregnancy when the Arizona senator selected Palin to be his running mate last week.Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure he was...because a VP with a daughter pregnant out of wedlock is a shoe-in to bring in those evangelicals!

Nice try but we all know why you posted this information and it's to put in your little dig.
You just don't want to come off as a disgusting pig. Too late! We know what you really think by your comment on out of wedlock birth.

You should alert Alaska Democrats: G.O.P. "vetting teams" do not just research archives and talk to people. They also make inconvenient documents "disappear" from public archives and threaten anyone who is critical of the candidate.
Just ask George Bush's Texas probation officer about those cocaine charges or his Alabama National Guard commander about the mysterious missing 7 months.
Considering that Celtic Diva herself was an unwed mother who is extremely proud of her daughter, I somehow doubt that she's really all that concerned about out of wedlock birth. You see, Democrats are far more forgiving about such things as opposed to Republicans; we tend to be more bothered by the whole hypocritical “do as I say, not as I do” attitude. I honestly hope that now it out in the open, the media will drop it and let Bristol go on quietly with her life and the focus can go back to the actual politicians. Perhaps this will also mean that Gov. Palin will become a bigger fan of pre-natal and Headstart programs for individuals just like her daughter.

Serious question here: All the news reports are saying Bristol Palin is 17 y.o. Weren't they describing her a month ago (or less) as 16? WHEN WAS BRISTOL BORN?

Actually, Valkyrie, my family and my husband's family are mostly conservative and we love them dearly. We just don't agree with them.
And as was stated before, I was a single mom with my daughter for 3 years before I met my husband. The only issue I have is with hypocrisy.

Palin's daughter getting pregnant has nothing to do with hypocrisy. It does have everything to do with a couple of kids with hormones raging and by the looks of it being in love.
I give the Palins a lot of credit for how they raised their kids and how they aren't living up to the left's expectations of being hypocritical. They are dealing with it like 99 percent of most people like them would. They haven't kicked her out and their life goes on.

Even if Bristol is five months pregnant (meaning in the fifth month of pregnancy), that does not mean she did not give birth to Trig.
A woman can get pregnant again after giving birth almost immediately.
The math works out that there was a full two week period in which Bristol could have gotten pregnant for a second time.
Assuming Bristol had been kept from seeing or visiting Levi until after the birth (a safe assumption, since the Palin's seem to have sequestered her at home; they took her out of school even), what would two teenagers in luv do immediately on seeing each other again (as soon as they had a chance)?
The MySpace pictures that have Levi's sister Mercede calling Bristol's sister Willow her "sister IN-LAW" seem to indicate that Levi and Bristol may have been wed right at the time of Trig's birth. The pictures also prove the Johnston family (meaning Levi) was again around Bristol right at the time of Trig's birth.
Levi's sister, Mercede, also calls Sarah Palin her mother-in-law in those pictures and she calls Trig ("TriggyBear") her new baby brother.
I think there has been a wedding. I think Bristol and Levi are already married despite the statement Sarah Palin released to the press (saying they "will" be married).
And I strongly suspect there is more to the story of Trig's birth than meets the eye.
This is not over, not by a long shot.

I would hope all Alaskan progressives understand that THE PROBLEM is Gov Palin's views on choice.
I understand that the McCain camp victimized Obama's children. However that does not make it right to do the same with Bristol.
The problem is Gov. Palin's views on choice. Not what her daughter has decided to choose.
Someone should tell Phil Munger, he feels it is okay for victimize Bristol and from his response to a commenter, he feels totally justified to do such.
