BREAKING: McCain Campaign heading to Alaska to investigate

A very reliable source overheard Republican spokesperson McHugh Pierre state TODAY that he had spoken to the McCain Campaign. They are coming to Alaska tomorrow to check out the "Troopergate" investigation.

In other words, THEY DID NOT DO SO PROPERLY AHEAD OF TIME.

So, I wonder what else they may not know...like why Bristol Palin may be holding a blanket over her abdomen in public when she's turned to the side towards the cameras?

I just stumbled across your site........interesting! Didn't read all of it yet. I'm from Maine. And can I just say that I (as do most of you) know guys like Wooten very, very well. I know them from my drinking days. Hell, i wasn't all that different from him, back then! And I also know his from my current social work days. These guys.....yeah, I know them WELL. And like I always tell my clients: WHEN YOU PLAY ON THE TRACKS YOU GET HIT BY THE TRAINS. Wooten is one of those guys who has spent a LIFETIME playing on the tracks. The train has now hit him. It's name is Sarah Palin. (The train named Jim Cyr will hit him too, if I ever run into him. I'll gladly WhitePages.com his name to see if I can get HIS phone number, and I'll give him a call and let him know what I think of him.) Guys like him need to be called out--EVERY TIME. That's all they understand. They operate solely on the fear principle: make other people afraid. Maybe he'll swiften up, stop drinking, and become a "PRODUCTIVE MEMBER OF SOCIETY" some day. Who knows. Stranger things have happened.
In Maine, where I live, (and it's not very different at all from Alaska in my part of the state), any one who would Taser a kid (and threaten another one), or POACH, would get his ass whipped by some one--any one-- so fast it would make your head spin. We don't put up with that bullshit. Sounds like Sarah doesn't either. Good for her. She'w won my vote. (And what's really funny is that punks like Wooten think they can mess with a guy like McCain---at 72, the guy could STILL last longer in a North Vietnames POW cell than TEN Michael Wootens could!)
Oh, and I'll the ADPS too--to call them out on their (OBVIOUS) cover up of their fellow boy. Sounds like many of his colleagues (and the investigators) need to be investigated and maybe be sent to jail....

Sorry: "I'll CALL the ADPS, too". typo!
Guess that's the only call I can make. I KNEW that Wooten would have an unlisted number. And NO, it's not because he's a cop. All the cops I know are upstanding, for the most part--and they put their names in the phone book proudly. Whatever their profession, guys like Wooten are unlisted because they don't want to operate on the "surface" of society, with the rest of us. They like living secret lives, and doing things out of sight. They tend to be pretty anti-social, too. Give a guy like that a badge and a gun, and trouble ensues.
(And I am a HUGE supporter of our law enforcement forces... bigger than you can know.)
I am so proud that a family would stand up for each other against a guy like that. It takes real guts. You'll never know how much unless you've been in that situation. (I have). But hey, life is short. The clock is ticking. It's ALWAYS the moment to decide: "Which side are you on, boys? Which side are you on??..."

Jim,

That poached moose was butchered by Chuck Heath (Sarah Palin's father) and eaten by the Heath/Palin family — including Sarah and Todd Palin. They didn't think it was worth reporting until it was in their interests to do so.

I don't think anyone's going to stand up and say Wooten is a winner. Clearly the guy's a jerk. But that doesn't mean the Palins get to re-write the rules — or use Sarah's position to bully government employees.

I'm sorry, but Jim's a freak.

I am calling the VP selection of Sarah Palin as, an act of political desperation. I get the feeling the decision was forced in the 11th hour.

If the corporate media and electronic voting don't steal the election. I think Sarah will not be re-elected and will fade off the radar of political importance.

Methinks Bristol Palin is going to have a baby soon! Did you see her in the pictures taken by People Magazine?

She was definitely trying to conceal her belly during Palin's acceptance speech. Someone else mentioned it on the ADN political blog too.

It is with pride and honor that I watch Governor Sarah Palin and the first family bring Alaska to the world! We could not have hoped for a more gracious ambassador for Alaska and the United States.

It was with shame and regret that I watched as my fellow Alaskan's, voted to return a U.S. Senator facing federal indictment on ethics charges and a U.S. Representative under investigation by his Capitol Hill colleagues to Washington for what no doubt will be the rest of their lives. (Stevens 84; Young 75) Instead of saying “no” to politics as usual in the nation’s capitol, sending a strong message to all Alaskan legislators, candidates, and the rest of the United States, that Alaskans' take their stewardship of our great state seriously, Alaskan's sent the message that we are comfortable with our “good ol’ boys” way of doing business in Alaska and perhaps incapable of managing the resources of the country’s most energy rich state.

Like it or not we have all been called upon to serve Alaska, each of us being individually responsible for how the State of Alaska is received by the rest of the world. Every Alaskan, no matter where they may live or what their political affiliation, have now become Ambassador’s of the Great State of Alaska. As Governor Palin begins a journey that will no doubt change the way the nation and indeed the world view Alaska, perhaps we all should take stock in how we as Alaskan’s will represent our Great State to the nation and the world. Fellow Alaskan’s do we really want to allow the generally unfounded, irresponsible frivolous remarks of (inexperienced) home grown politics set the stage for how the world views Alaska. History is being made -- Alaska and Alaskan’s will be the beneficiaries.

Hopefully, all elected Alaskan’s who purport to represent you and me will set aside their differences as they too are called upon by the national media and citizens throughout this country to speak for Alaskan’s about Alaska.

God Bless Governor Palin, the Great State of Alaska and the United States of America.

Hey, Jim, word on the Net is that Wooten only tased the kid when the kid asked for it, as in, "Hey, stepdad, what does tasing feel like?" And Wooten only used the test setting, and the Palins knew. Still stupid, but not as heinous as the Palins would have you imagine.

What is this about Trig not being Sarah's kid, but her daughter's kid instead? That's the rumor going around lately.

It's starting to get out that the McCain camp isn't going to Alaska to investigate, they're going there to put out fires. People are starting to talk, and Alaskan newspapers are starting to weigh in on what they think about Sarah Palin. Not all of it is good (in fact, an awful lot of it isn't), and this is something that the GOP is desperate is put the kabosh to.

Thanks for the plug, but could you please pick a better picture of me! ; )
I never said McCain folks are coming to Alaska to investigate Palin and "Troopergate"! That is hilarious!
What I did say is that Obama political snoops just came up to Alaska to dig dirt on Palin and were going to be looking into the "Troopergate" allegations and anything else they can find.
Good luck running down more rumors and gossip.

The Obama camp won't have to look far for dirt on Palin. Most of that dirt will come from the office right behind Pierre, the home of the sibilant corrupt whispers of the Reudrich Republicans.

from M dowd's column:

"Then she takes off in her seaplane and lands on the White House lawn...."

NOTE TO READERS, Maureen can be forgiven for calling those planes in Alaska seaplanes, but actually Alaskanws call them FLOAT PLANES, or FLOATPLANES....only in Florida are they called SEAPLANES......

She now confirms that her daughter who is 17 is 5 months pregnant. I don't have a problem with teen pregnancies but I have a problem with family value people who can't manage there own family but this they can manage other families.

Obama continues to bring reform to how politics is conducted . . . I don't believe in throwing stones of any kind--I want to hear about Palin's foreign policy views, TrooperGate, her flip flop on the bridge . . . I don't care she shoots moose or fishes or gun totes (doesn't everyone in Alaska?). I am not reading too much reform on her part, frankly--I'll take the reform of Obama . . .

Obama in Senate: Star Power, Minor Role -(Published: March 9, 2008) In the new york times... Obama hasn't actually done anything that I can see makes him even close to Gov. Palin's level of experience. Is there anyone that can prove otherwise???

Obama reform..... Never heard of it... Are you talking about the Campaign Finance Reform bill Of John McCain that Obama voted in favor of???? While your convincing yourself that it was Obama that did it go ahead and bash Palin!!
The man that had an alcohol problem and was fired said she never asked him to fire the trooper. A trooper that may have been using a taser on his wife and child. Just believe Andrew Halcrow (her opponent for Gov that lost) the man that started the rumor.

Maybe some of this info that many of you didn't know about or choose to talk about will shed some light on the issues.

The question of who is telling the truth about the alledged McCain "cleaners", or, the Obama "gold-miners", should be easy enough to resolve.

Whichever is true, unless someone is putting them up in private homes, or unless they're camping out, they should be staying in a Wasilla hotel or motel. How many can there be?

Let the National Enquirer do it's thing, and find out which "team" made it's way to Wasilla. If they can track and corner John Edwards in a Los Angeles hotel, it should be a piece of cake to find 8 stone Cheechagos in a town of 6,000. :o)

I haven't heard anyone saying that the bro-in-law was an exemplary law-enforcement office, or a good husband. He sounds like a real asshole, but my cuz is up there, and he keeps up with this stuff, and he, no Palin supporter, said Wooten should have been fired. But Palin, two weeks into her term (I heard) should have picked her time and her spot better. That she didn't, but spent political capital going after the in-law like she was Karl Rove going after some librul, was bad savvy.

And when Wooten's boss wouldn't can him, she should have marked it on her calendar for future reference and let it drop, for the time being. Instead, she went after the Director, himself, and canned HIM. That is making political enemies needlessly, and for petty reasons.

I should fess up and say that I'm an Obama supporter, but I don't think this is going to have much legs.

There may be better things to get her for, and if is IS "team Obama", instead of "team McCain", I wish them luck. Hard to believe that a woman could have her water break, get on a plane for Seattle, then switch to one for Juneau and ultimately make it all the way back to Wasilla, to have her kid. Or, that her husband would ask her to.

But the alternative involves a...charade that would boggle the mind. I dunno...

I understand about patient-confidentiality, but all Palin has to do to put to rest the rumors about Bristol having the kid, and Palin pretending that it was hers, is have Cathy Baldwin-Johnson make a brief appearance in front of the local media to state that she delivered Palin's little boy, back in April. I think that would close the case on the bizarre rumor about Palin's faking a pregnancy.

That this has not yet happened, is keeping this particular story alive. As time passes, people will start thinking that, with it so easy to shoot it down, they're using the time to get their stories straight, and to tie up loose ends. Not good.
