Shannyn Moore did a nice interview with him on her KUDO 1080 show.Mark Matt did a wonderful job of embodying Mark Begich's campaign for Senator.
Mark Matt, you're doing a helluva job...and I mean that in a good way! (Of course, being another 3-named person, I might be biased!)

I didn't know that, CD...
Matt worked on Chris Dodd's campaign and presented Dodd's views on the web in a very 21st century way. I noticed his work there through his efforts to show up all over the web with Dodd's articulate and fairly progressive message. He'll do the same thing for Mark Begich.
What is cool about watching national level progressives like Matt, Howie Klein and Jeff Cohen getting so engaged in the rebuilding of our political paradigm is that they seem to think there's a potential for growth in Alaska of a real statewide new left.
Cohen, who is finishing up a week here, cites the quality of news reporting by the Alaska press. Klein cites the Benson campaign's multi-racial aspects as parallels to Obama's. Both are impressed by the string of small progressive victories around the state, and the level of campaign donations.
Matt and I haven't discussed this much yet, but I'm sure his learning curve this past week has been - in mountain climbing terms - 5.11.
After talking to Matt, I am VERY interested in having a meeting including our current progressive bloggers and folks who would like to start an individual or community lefty blog. I think it would be energizing!!!!
